Review: Ola Vibrator

3D SexVilla 2

Is it too early to pick a toy of the year?

I know I gush about sex toys often, but seriously, y’all, this is the coolest one I’ve tested out in a long time. I’ll keep an open mind until December, but the Ola from Minna (graciously sent to me from ToyDemon), is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition at this point.

About the Product:

Here’s a quick video that covers how it works:

Basically, it has a soft, puffy stimulation pad that you squeeze to create vibrations. Squeeze it hard and you’ll get fast, intense vibrations. Release the squeeze a bit and you’ll get gentler buzzing. Then, press the circle button to record your own pattern if you want, which it will play back on loop.

The Ola is 100% waterproof and made of a buffed silicon (my favorite material). It’s about 8 inches long and is rechargeable with a magnetic charger. When you turn it on, it tells you the level of charge with vibrations. Want to take it with you when you fly somewhere? No problem. There’s a little button to press to reset the air pressure in the stimulation pad and you’re good to go.

You can pick up the Ola from $165, though as of writing this post the Ola is currently on sale at Toy Demon. It comes in pink or purple, and you get a nice silver bag for storage.

Pros:

Seriously, what’s not to like about this vibrator. Waterproof? Yes! Rechargeable? Yes! Interactive? Yes!

This isn’t a weak vibrator, either. It’s fairly quiet, which is great if you’re dealing with a roommate situation, but it isn’t wimpy little tingles – if you squeeze the stimulation pad hard, you get hard vibrations that feel awesome.

Let’s talk about the stimulation pad. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? It’s totally intuitive to use and works exactly how you imagine it should. I absolutely love being able to make my own patterns, and when Cash gets home, I know we’ll have a ton of fun with him controlling it. It’s not just a D/s toy, though. It’s an awesome way for any couple to connect. With a traditional sex toy, your partner can pick a setting and thrust it into you or move it around a bit, but the Ola gives your partner complete control to please you.

Seriously, guys, I can’t get over it. It’s just too cool.

Cons:

I really, really have to stretch to find disadvantages with the Ola. I guess the biggest and most obvious one would be the price. You have to dig pretty deep into your pocket to purchase an Ola. But, that said, I think it’s worth every single penny. You’re going to get a lot of value with this toy.

The other con – and this is very minor – is that the patterns you record aren’t programmable. In other words, you can’t “save” a pattern to use later while you experiment with other patterns, and after you turn off the vibe, you’ll lose whatever pattern you had created. I don’t know that I would use this function much anyway so it’s not a big deal for me. It’s fun to play around with creating new patterns all the time.

Conclusion:

Two words: buy it.

This toy is awesome. If you have a special occasion coming up (anniversary, partner’s birthday, etc.) it’s the perfect gift. If you don’t, make up a special occasion so you have an excuse to buy it.

“Oh yeah, hunny. Don’t you remember? It’s our sixth anniversary of the first time you gave me a blowjob while blindfolded. I can’t believe you forgot!”

Big thanks to Toy Demon for sending me my new favorite toy! Check them out – if the Ola doesn’t quite fit into your budget, they also have lots of cool massagers and wands for sale, as well as a huge number of male sex toys including the Meiki plush doll which I highlighted in this post about sex toys for men.
